Alassio means a lot to us, it’s an extension of our home. It holds some of our happiest
childhood memories and, since we met, has also become the backdrop to our most beautiful
moments.

There is no other place we could imagine celebrating this unforgettable day together with you.

For those who have time to explore the town and soak up the sea, we have selected a few
must-see destinations and some of our favourite local spots.

Feet in the sand

In the splendid Bay of the Sun, the long stretch of fine sandy beach unfolds like a golden
carpet, while the Gallinara Island emerges on the horizon like a proud and silent guardian.
If you want to enjoy some beach time, you’ll find us at BAGNI LIDO ALASSIO.
We have already mentioned to the beach managers that some of our guests might drop by.

Postcard of Alassio

Set in the town centre you will find Alassio’s famous wall “il Muretto”.
It all began in 1953 when Mario Berrino had the idea to decorate the wall opposite his well-
known caffè with ceramic tiles signed by famous people.

This traditon has continued ever since and you will find signatures of artists, sportsmen and
cultural figures.
Among the first to leave his signature was the writer Ernest Hemingway.

This open air “mosaic” is a special place that brings together dedications and memories like
a custodian of the “dolce vita” that still thrills those who walk past today.

Here love becomes art and colours memories.
Hence Alassio became known as “the town of lovers”.

Exploring the heart of the town

The characteristic heart of Alassio is “il budello,” a narrow alleyway where the air smells of sea salt and history. The perfect place for a walk among historic 17th century buildings, chic boutiques, local artisan shops, cafès and ice cream parlours.

Keep an eye out for stunning glimpses of the sea peeking through the alleyways – perfect
pictures to capture.

To truly experience Alassio means to lose yourself in the authentic flavours of the Riviera, where land and sea meet in perfect harmony.

FOCACCIA.
Here is a list of our favourite bakeries where you can also try delicious red pizza, farinata and torta pasqualina – all mouth-watering, authentic Ligurian specialities.

You simply cannot leave without a delicious souvenir to take home: the famous Baci di
Alassio. Created in the early 1900s, these sweet treats encapsulate the entire tradition of Ligurian pastry making.

For those staying a few extra nights, we have selected our favourite restaurants, where we are certain you won’t be disappointed. Just a quick word of advice: make sure to book well in advance!
